I am currently gathering content for a new little Bangkok book of shows from the last year and a half. I am going to use my photos (some you have seen and some unseen!), add some original writing and hopefully get some good commentary from Bangkok-based musicians. If I work hard, this will be available at Noise Market in May - if nothing else I will sell a kidney at the market and maybe some Bangkok rock n roll postcards.
The questions I am looking to answer:
- What is rock n roll?
- What was the first rock band that inspired you?
- What instrument do you play and why?
- When you are performing live, how do you feel?
- What do you want audiences to get from your music?
You can send your responses to my email address: [email protected] as an INLINE TEXT or to me in a private message via facebook. By pressing "send" you agree that your written words may be used whole or in part via print and/or online publication. Please include "ROCK N ROLL" in the subject line if you send via email. Also include your name, hometown, instrument and the name of your band with the response.
Oh, if anyone would like to hire a rock philosopher or photographer, please drop me a line - I will receive my last paycheck at the end of this month and then will have to earn a living purely off my wits and the odd 7-11 robbery.
SHARE.
Many smart people are saying that print media is dead. Other smart people say print media is OK for advertising. I don't do print media - I am just doing a photo book with writing - maybe there will only be one copy but WHAT A MARVEL IT WILL BE!
Also if you are not a musician and feel left out... there will be another bunch of questions just for you to answer - you too can be quoted in my little book! Add me on Facebook to stay up-to-date with shows in Bangkok, all the projects I collaborate on, new posts and the book. Look for the Rock Philosopher area at Noise Market. See ya!
